5 foods to nourish your gut and improve your health

Bone Broth

Bone broth is an incredibly healing and nutritious food. Not only great for your digestive system it also helps to reduce inflammation and joint pain. It is rich in proline (think collagen), glycine for detoxification and L-Glutamine which is fantastic for gut healing.  So therefore, great for your gut, skin, and joints. You can either make this at home or purchase it ready made from your local supermarket.

Coconut Kefir

These are loaded with probiotics and help to rebalance the bacteria in your gut – increasing the good bacteria in favour of the harmful ones. This will help to improve any abdominal discomfort you may have, help you digest your food better, and boost your immune system.  You may or may not be aware that 70% of your immune system is in your gut! So, its really important we take care or it.

Sauerkraut

Sauerkraut is also a great probiotic food, beneficial for your digestive system, immune system, liver and much more. Add a small amount to each meal as a tasty and healthy side.
